About YWP's Conference 2008   The International Water Association-Australia (AIWA) in conjunction with the Australian Water Association (AWA) are pleased to announce the 2nd Young Water Professionals (YWPs) Conference in Australia. The biannual conference is the premier conference for Australian YWPs working in the water and wastewater related fields. It provides an important opportunity for young professionals including postgraduate researchers to engage, network and share their experiences and research outcomes in a national forum. This is essential to retain highly, skilled YWPs within Australia, so that they have strong networks to find solutions to Australia’s future water needs.     In addition to paper and poster presentations, the conference will also focus on professional development opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere. The conference is also complimented by an exciting social program with activities such as welcome BBQ and speed networking. There will also be technical site visits, as well as opportunities to engage with senior industry professionals. Prizes will be awarded for the best paper, poster and oral presentations, including an opportunity to represent the Australian YWPs at the 4th IWA International YWP conference in Berkeley. IWA’s YWP program has grown into the premier global network for YWPs. In the current water climate there has never been a more exciting time to get involved.
